Dance Party Guest Post!!

Oh heyyyyy all you lovely bloggers!!!
I’m Julia and I blog over at A Blonde Walked Into A Blog

Miss Jennifer asked if I would guest post for her while she is away soaking up the Mexican sun. Of course I would have rather jumped in her suitcase and gone with them (believe me- I tried), but here we are.
I am assuming you all know how awesome Jenn is... you did find her blog after all.
But as someone who knows her almost better than her hus-bun (just kidding LTizzle), I'm here today to teach you all how to dance with Jennifer if you ever got the chance to meet her.
Because typically when Jenn and I get together there is a lot of wine and dance parties involved... And I'm talking lots. Maybe even some karaoke if you're lucky.

You're definitely going to want to start out with some easy moves. Jumping up and down while laughing at Jenn usually suffices. She likes to get things going.

Then it's usually best to move on to The Creep. We like this one.
You may want to throw in The Bernie because you're probably acting like him at this point.

And then do something that looks like you might fall over.

But you don't because you've run into the coffee table. But you're okay.

You may want to walk away at this point because you're laughing so hard. I would advise you don't though because Jenn will clearly be wanting to booty dance.
And since you're extremely exhausted and overwhelmed now that you've danced your night away. You assume the passed out position and try to remember what you did the next morning.

There you have it. How to have a dance party with Jennifer.
And make sure you're friends are taking pictures without your knowledge because that just makes it ten times better.
Oh and laugh. Laugh a lot.
Come say hi over at my own little blog! But if you do- you better be ready to partaayyyyy!!
peace out girl scouts,
Julia Rose

Got my nails did...

So I have been wanting to try these Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail stickers for a few years now but never wanted to give in and spend the 8 bucks to get em.  Well I finally gave in and bought some.  I wanted a manicure before I went on my trip but wanted to do it myself so I figured I would try these.  And I finally jumped on the accent nail band wagon too.

I used Revlon "Cherries In The Snow" for the base color and the Sally Hansen "Kitty Kitty" for the accent nail.  (Better known as the leopard print ones)

The kit comes with step by step instructions (who reads those anyway), 16 different sized nail stickers, a cuticle stick, and a two sided nail file.

It actually was pretty easy to use.  All  you do is peel the top and bottom layer off of the polish strip and stick it onto your nail.  Now it is very important to stick these onto a clean nail.  I used nail polish remover to clean my nails and the strip seemed to stick just fine.

The only thing that was difficult was trying to file down the nail polish strip.  It didn't work... at all.  So I just used nail clippers to cut it down and then shaped it with the file.

So now I'll give you the finished product
Drum roll please........

 ta ta :-)

And I even painted my toesies

I think I did a pretty good job.

So anyway I hope that each of you have a wonderful day!

I'll leave ya with this beautiful picture I took last night.
You didn't know I was a photographer did you? Ha... thank you Instagram ;-)

Happy Thursday loves!

Me, Myself, & I

First of all let me give you a quick update on our little anniversary dinner last night.  It was amazing and I couldn't have asked for anything better.  We didn't go to some fancy restaurant or have some fancy cocktails.  We simply ordered takeout and ate at our own dining room table with our wedding day champagne and thawed out wedding cake. And check out my beautiful flowers too!

I have one amazing husband :o)

Ok enough of my anniversary ramblings...
I'm doing a new link up today.

I'm linking up with Breanna over at My Beautiful Crazy Life for the Me, Myself, & I Linkup Party!
Go check out her blog, join the linkup, and have some fun!

1. When you're feeling down, what do you do to pick yourself up?
I bake! Usually cupcakes or brownies :-)
I also like to pour myself a big glass of red wine.  I'm a bit of a wino...

2. If you had to live in a different time period which would you prefer?
Probably the 60's.  The music was awesome and nobody cared what anybody else thought.

 3. What is the most creative Halloween costume you've ever worn?
Well when I was about 8 I was a TY Beanie Baby, heart shaped tag and all. I don't have any pictures unfortunately, but two years ago I was a Victoria's Secret Angel.  I have to admit I was lookin pretty dang hot in my little black dress and wings ;-)

Yes that is actually my natural hair color.

4. Five weird things about you we wouldn't know without being told?
1) I hate beans and mushrooms
 2) I still jam out to Backstreet Boys, NSync, and The Spice Girls
3) My favorite snack is cheddar cheese dipped in ranch dressing
4) I adore Jessica Simpson (I was voted Miss Jessica Simpson in high school)
5) I was bitten by a dog last Christmas and me and my husband spent our first married Christmas together in the ER

5. What would you tell your 16-year-old self?
That my sausage roll bangs are out of style and to grow those damn things out.

That eventually I will get over being dumped even though I thought the world was ending when I was broken up with over AIM
That the friends you have at 16 will not be the same ones you have at 26.
That you won't be driving that granny car forever and to quit complaining because it was FREE!

So there you have it loves.
Now like I said before go join the linkup!

I Wore Heels to a County Fair

Happy Monday to all my lovely readers.  And happy one year anniversary to my sweet hubster!!!!

I hope that each of you had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was full of laziness, county fairs and getting ready for our Mexico trip.

My hubby had a booth at our county fair this weekend and of course with me being the loving wife I had to go keep him company.  Well I wore my cute new heels that I got at Burlington's (best store ever) to work that day so I didn't have time to go home and change before I went to the fair.  Ok so our fair isn't one of those that has all of the carnival rides.  This fair is what I like to call a "hick" fair.  We're talking pigs, cows, chickens the whole shebang guys.

So anyway here I am prancing around in my cute little high heels looking like an idiot while everyone else is in overalls and cowboy boots.  I decided to a stroll down to the barn with my sister to see the animals and kept sinking in the ground.  Gross!  I got a TON of looks that night.  Definitely not one of my best ideas.

Saturday was an all around good day.  Went furniture shopping and then picked up some last minute items for our trip next week.  (A week from today!!! Hells yeah)

That night we must have watched at least 10  movies and chilled on the couch with our fur babies.

Sunday was just like any other Sunday at our house.  Slept in till noon and spent the rest of the day doing housework.

Tonight we are celebrating our one year wedding anniversary by going out to eat and eating our wedding cake and our wedding day champagne.  Still hard to believe it's been a year.  :o)

So with all of that said I hope you guys have a great Monday.  I linked up today with Amber at Living in the Moment for another Motivational Monday.  I think we all need a little motivation on Mondays :o)

Sunday Social

I don't usually write on Sunday but I thought I would link up this week for the Sunday Social. Head on over to A Complete Waste of Makeup to join the Sunday Linkup!

1. 5 items you can't live without on a daily basis(water, food, shelter, and clothes don't count)

      1. My Husband (not sure if this counts or not lol)
      2. My toothbrush
      3. My phone (definitely)
      4. My prayer book
      5. My makeup
2. All time favorite book? Why?

Well I have never been much of a reader until recently.  I just finished the 50 Shades of Grey  Trilogy and I absolutely LOVED it!  Why is it my favorite?? Well if you have read the books you know why...

3. Something you'd like to accomplish before the end of 2012

That's a hard one... Probably get back into my size twos. I know it doesn't sound like a huge accomplishment but I don't want to have to buy more jeans.

4. If you could go back and relive any year of your life which year would it be?

My Sophomore year of college which would be and 2005. I joined my sorority that year and had way too much fun! Best year of my life :-)

5. What do you wish people knew about you without you having to tell them?

Gosh another hard one.  Hmmmm... That I don't have a lot of confidence in myself.  I'm very insecure about my looks and the way that I come across to people.

So there you have it folks! I hope you all have a fabulous Sunday :-)

A Very Special Friday Letter

This is my first letters link up with Ashley over at Adventures of Newlyweds. I wanted to do a special post today because a year ago this weekend I was getting ready for the biggest day of my life.  My wedding day!

So I hope you enjoy my letters.  And hopefully I won't cry while writing them.

Dear Bridesmaids
I picked you girls for a reason.  Because each one of you holds a very special place in my heart.  I have laughed with each of you and cried with each of you.  Even though some of us may not be as close as we once were, I will always be there for you and love you girls no matter what!
Some of you may recognize the blondie on the far left.  Yup that's my Julia over at A Blonde Walked Into A Blog!

Dear Mom
I am who I am because of you.  You are my rock, and you always have my back.  Thank you for the words of wisdom and the guidance during my first year of marriage.
I am lucky to be your daughter :o)

Dear Daddy
I have and always will be daddy's little girl.  I love you so very much and cherish the time we get to  spend together.  I wish everyday that you lived closer :o(

Dear Father In Law
Thank you for watching over us this past year.  Making sure that we were ok.  Your family misses you so very much.  We know that we now have the best guardian angel :o) You would be so proud of your son.  He has grown into a husband and provider because of you.  We love you!

And last but definitely not least...

Dear LT (My Husband)
First of all, WOW I can't believe it's already been a year.  It has been a year full of ups and downs.  We have grown together as husband and wife.  We have been through struggles that not many normal newlyweds go through.  I love that you can make me smile in an instant if I am feeling down.  Thank you for putting up with me when I am not easy to put up with (big props to that lol)
You are everything to me, and even though we may not always agree, I know that you will always be there to see me through the tough times and laugh with me through the good times.
I love you always and forever.

Here are some pictures from our big day.
