it's friday afternoon and i'm ready to go out and dance my ass off.
but that ain't gonna happen.
nope.  my night will consist of the gym, takeout, and probably sleep.

so i'm just gonna have a dance party in my office.  and thanks to whitney and her kickass pandora station i'm doing just that!

letters and a little something special

dear spring: where the hell are you? i'm so tired of this cold ass weather!
dear facebook: you have been ridiculous this week.  if i see one more red equal sign in my news feed i might just go insane.
dear weekend: i plan on doing nothing for the next two days (well except for going to church) so please don't let anyone persuade me to do anything.
dear ponytail and sweatpants: i will be seeing alot of you this weekend.  along with no makeup.
dear mexico: since it's freezing and i'm sick of it i am officially starting my countdown to my cancun vacation... 6 months to go!!
dear followers: THANK YOU!! i've almost reached my goal of 200 which is HUGE! only 5 more to go!

and speaking of my lovely followers
i've decided to give away an awesome gift to show my appreciation.

the 200th follower will get a FREE ad spot on my sidebar for ONE month!

now let's take a trip down memory lane

easter as a child was all about easter egg hunts, easter baskets, and of course dressing up in your new easter attire every year.

well instead of buying our easter dresses, my mom would get super creative and make ours each year.

...and they would match!

i mean she did an amazing job, and as a kid i was stoked to wear them.  of course being a girlie girl i loved getting new clothes!
but looking back, i feel like i could have been a character on little house on the prairie.
just kidding mom, you know i love ya (cause i know she will be reading this)

oh the famous white easter hats

we then moved on from the hats to the matching bows
mom got a little wild side this year and decided that we were a too old for matching dresses
just ignore my evil stare...
don't you just love the white amish looking sash?

nice to know that we've moved on from our matching easter dress days.

show us your old memories

when i say i am a Christian...

a little something for everyone to think about.

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I’m not shouting, “I’ve been saved!”
I’m whispering, “I get lost sometimes
That’s why I chose this way”

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I don’t speak with human pride
I’m confessing that I stumble -
needing God to be my guide

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I’m not trying to be strong
I’m professing that I’m weak
and pray for strength to carry on

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I’m not bragging of success
I’m admitting that I’ve failed
and cannot ever pay the debt

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I don’t think I know it all
I submit to my confusion
asking humbly to be taught

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I’m not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are far too visible
but God believes I’m worth it

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartache
which is why I seek God’s name

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I do not wish to judge
I have no authority
I only know I’m loved

travel tuesday: honeymoon in the dominican

good morning loves!
linking up with our girl helene for another travel tuesday.

Helene in Between

since mother nature hates us here in the south and keeps throwing snow on us, i thought i would take a look back at my honeymoon in a tropical paradise.

we booked a room at a beautiful resort called zoerty in the dominican republic.

it was beyond amazing! we had a wonderful time and even met some great couples who we still keep in touch with!

the resort was very small but absolutely gorgeous!

yup it's real...

we ended up taking an excursion on a catamaran which was so much fun!  free all you can drink alcohol all day long, great music, and of course dancing!

most of the time we just stayed by the pool drinking amazing fruity beverages!

my favorite bartender.  he made the best drinks!

we spent our last day in paradise exploring the beaches and attending a beach party that night with amazing food and entertainment.

it truly was a trip to remember.  we loved the dominican republic, and hope to go back again someday.

i hope you enjoy your tuesday!

mother nature needs a margarita, or something equally as strong

really weather?
it's march 25th and it's snowing?!?

not a happy girl right now...

i'm ready for warm weather, cold drinks, and bathing suit season.

so unfortunately i don't have any cute selfies or pictures from my uneventful weekend.  i know, i know... blogger fail.

but it was a pretty good weekend overall.  friday we took my mother in law out to eat for her birthday and went home and actually went to bed before midnight.

saturday we went to the gym worked out for a couple of hours and then came home and had mexican food and a few margaritas, and again we were in bed before midnight that night... i know, i'm shocked myself!

sunday we went shopping in atlanta, and i found out that i have become a gym addict.  i'd rather buy cute workout clothes than shoes or purses.  what the hell is happening to me?!?

so anyway there you have it for my uneventful weekend.  and now i'm sitting in my office freezing my little butt off while watching it snow outside.

and i'm gonna leave you with this delicious margarita recipe i made this weekend!  i know it's only noon on the east coast, but who cares?  it's monday and with this weather acting all cray cray and shiz i could use one!

1 pint lime sherbet
Juice of 2 limes
1/3 cup powdered sugar
8 ounces tequila
4 ounces triple sec
2 cups ice cubes
Put all ingredients in blender, and blend until frothy.
Serve immediately.  Makes 4.

enjoy loves!

let's get this party started

ok so what is up with this weather?  it's officially the 3rd day of spring and it's colder than damn antarctica outside.  not cool mother nature, not cool!

moving on...
i saw this link up and of course i had to join in.  and now it makes me wanna turn on pandora and jam out to 90's hip hop for the rest of the day.

so my jam for this cold ass friday...

happy weekend loves!
